We all know how bad stress can be for our health and how it can prevent us from living a happy life, yet most of us act as if they don’t notice the stress in their lives and keep living up a stressful life style

While there is no method for completely eliminating stress from your life still there are methods that can reduce life stress to a great extent.

Here are some methods that can help you reduce stress in your life:

Get rid of external stressors: If external factors were not properly adjusted they will certainly add to your already existing stress levels. External stressors can be in the form of noisy surroundings, uncomfortable chair, inadequate lighting, poor ventilation or even an irritating feeling such as hunger or thirst.

Do the shorter tasks first: If you started with the longer task you will be thinking about the remaining ones for a long period of time until you reach them while if you started with the short ones you will find yourself quickly done with lots of things and you will be able to focus on the final big one even without having anything else in mind.


Wake up early: Usually stress arises when you find yourself burdened with many tasks without having adequate time to finish them. Waking up early and starting on your tasks right away will ease up stress as your mind will believe that you do have enough time

Take a short break every one hour: A 5 min break every one hour wont just boost your mood but it will help you ease some of the stress you are experiencing. Do not think about work or problems during this break!! After all Your intention behind it is to free your mind.

Control your breath: When you become stressed you breath less deeply thus allowing less oxygen to enter the brain and that in turn increases the amount of stress creating a never ending loop. Whenever you become stressed focus on your breathing rate and try to make it deep as much as you can.

Relax your muscles: Stress and all other emotions are feelings we get when our muscles become tense in a certain way. Whenever you become stressed close your eyes and visualize your muscles relaxing. That would ease the tension in your muscles and in turn reduce stress.


Stop being indifferent: Most of us got used to stress to the extent that we don’t notice its existence anymore. This is a serious matter because even though we don’t notice the presence of stress still the damaging effect happens to our internal organs. Pay attention to stress and become aware of it so that you can make combating it a part of your life style
